The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) is essentially a multidisciplinary organization that offers membership facilities to healthcare professionals who focus on teaching patients about diabetes and self-management techniques for the disease. Founded in 1973, the organization aims to enhance and facilitate diabetes education, increase access to relevant educational material and provide members with the support and tools they need to perform their jobs. The AADE Annual Conference is the premier diabetes education event in the United States. The conference is attended by healthcare professionals from around the country and the world, such as nurses, physicians, dieticians and pharmacists who want to come together in order to explore new ideas, understand new technologies and exchange best practices in the realm of diabetes care.

AADE 2018 will be held between 17th August (Friday) and 20th August (Monday) at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. It will also host industry leaders, distinguished researchers and eminent keynote speakers such as Robert A. Gabbay, Chief Medical Officer of Harvard Medical School, Joslin Diabetes Center; Soma Stout, Vice President of Institute for Healthcare Improvement; and Clydette Powell, Director of theDivision of Health Care Quality in the US Department of Health and Human Services.
